Brady + Nikki – August 11, 2018
This was definitely one of my favorite weddings and the type of couple that I enjoy coordinating for. Brady & Nikki had a very well thought design and theme for their wedding that was unique to them. Brady has his pilot’s license and loves to fly planes & travel. Nikki is of spanish descent and a nurse. They both are happy, positive, encouraging, appreciative, understanding, welcoming, warm, and down to earth people. Their guest book was a Map of the world, drinks were served in syringes, each guest had to find the paper airplane with their name on it to locate their table, the centerpieces were Trees of Life hand crafted by the bride’s mother. Every detail was so incredibly perfect!
The setup was also wonderful. Both families came down and helped with the entire set up. I was not expecting this at all. I actually had two assistants with me but I sent one home since there were so many hands on deck!
The only slight issue of the day was the bridal party got ready in the downstairs lounge room instead of the Meadow House living room. This was a problem because we were not able to set up the lounge room prior to the ceremony as hair & make up took all the way until the ceremony started and we even had to push back the start time because the flower girls were still getting their hair done! Once the ceremony started, we ran down, tidied up the lounge room and got it ready!
The entire wedding was fun for everyone. Hello Penny Bar was working the event while the owner was a guest at the wedding. This friendor (friend + vendor) touch made the event a little more casual, as well. Their photographer who was also their florist: Sierra Solis was also a friend and we all know my personality can be much more personable than professional. Although, I am always professional, as well 🙂
Overall, the energy and feeling of this wedding was light, friendly, creative, and fun!
