Katy + Jamie: August 2, 2018
Katy is the absolute sweetest bride! We had a slight thunder/lightning scare and she was excited and looking forward to the photographs. No matter what the situation, Katy was happy. My favorite part about her was her continual words of affirmation that she gave me at every step of the way. In every email, she encouraged me. With every in person meeting, she lifted me up. She is a constant source of positive energy & love.
I had been emailing with Katy while working for Sacred Mountain and set up their tour. I was out of town during their tour but confirmed pricing, dates, contract, etc. When we scheduled our phone consultation for Wedding Coordination, she confirmed “this is exactly what we had been hoping for. We knew you would be the perfect coordinator since you know the venue so well. It was an easy decision!” I couldn’t have agreed more 🙂
We first met at Public Square in La Mesa to begin planning of Timeline, Floor Plans, Wedding Checklist. Katy had her vision and knew what she wanted from the get go. Everything was clearly organized in her head and we unpacked it onto paper.
For the ceremony, the circle arch was entirely covered with beautiful greenery & florals by Amber with Green Pumpkin Girl. For Reception we had three rows of 6ft rectangular tables in banquet style with the dance floor in the middle. This layout is pretty wonderful and all the guests are together. The only slightly tricky part is the grand entrance. The space is tight so the bridesmaid & groomsmen split down separate aisles to reconnect on the dance floor! It works wonderfully! Cocktail Hour had couches to lounge, 48inch Round tables to sit, tall belly bar tables to stand so all guests needs are accommodated. There was an amazing display of charcuterie at this wedding but Cucina Urbana.
This was truly a wonderful wedding filled with so much love. Katy and I have plans to go hiking together next week. Made a wonderful friend and neighbor out of this wedding 🙂
