Bahia Resort Styled Shoot – 12/10/18
This was the first Styled Shoot that I planned so I went into it with no major expectations on myself. For me a styled shoot is a great opportunity to connect with vendors, experience a new venue, add my own personal design into the concept, and grow my portfolio! I had met for coffee with Chelsea from Chelsea Rose Beauty and we had just decided to go for it! For this first shoot, it was so nice to plan with someone and have someone to bounce ideas off of. Plus it was her connection for the dress shop and the linens! Our initial idea was to have this be a FLORAL shoot. We wanted florals coming down the dress, in the brides hair, displayed on her as jewelry, etc. One by one we started securing vendors and letting our vision come to life.
We had beautiful and textured linens from Lively Events and bright fuschia & magenta florals from With-Flourish. The Bahia Resort is a total tropical fairyland with a beach and harbor view! We had so many amazing photo opportunities– it was glorious! We chose a trendy mix matched suit for the groom and a two piece gown for the bride. We ended up pinning florals to the dress but we did not achieve our display of florals on the dress as imagined. That didnt matter too much because everything else came together perfectly! We had a gorgeous necklace floral piece and hair piece!
Chelsea did the hair & make up for our bride & groom. We had delicious deserts including a 3 tiered cake from Heritage & Co. The table tops were from Hostess Haven! Everything came together beautifully! The only issue was the seagulls at the beach! We had to keep shooing them away– one snuck off with one of our cookies!!!
Huge thank you to all of our vendors!
