Brittany + Ryan – 6/29/19
Brittany & Ryan got married at Humphrey’s Half Moon Inn on Saturday, June 29, 2019. Everything about this wedding was a wonderful experience for me. Brittany & Ryan are both wonderful but I mostly worked with Pam, the mother of the bride. Pam is one of those women who could be easily compared to an angel. Pam is truly the sweetest woman I’ve ever met. She’s also intelligent, successful, hard working, and a very involved and caring mother.
Brittany had a modern rustic vision for her wedding decor. We paired beautiful dusty lavender floral centerpieces with wooden rounds and tree stump table numbers. We chose a beautiful & light lavender linen from BBJ Linens with silver chargers and napkin rings. We chose to go with the cooler colors which had such an incredible contrast to the intense pink sunset that came later that evening.
This was a two venue location. The ceremony was at The Immaculata at USD. For decor at the immaculata we went with two large floral arrangements. Since the flower girl is not allowed to drop petals, we had her carrying the cutest little bouquet. For a catholic ceremony, out of respect, there is also a required bouquet for Mary. This should consist of 5-7 large stems with greenery and tied as a bouquet.
The bridal party got ready that morning at Humphrey’s and the party bus took them individually to the venue. The bride & groom were waiting until the ceremony to see each other for the first time.
Pictures of family, bridal party, and the couple were taken after the ceremony around the USD campus. Brittany obtained her degree from USD so was familiar with where she wanted to photos.
The evening flowed flawlessly. Guests checked the incredibly gorgeous & unique seating chart for where to sit. The seating chart, designed by Megan Joy Events, was created by Pam. She did the calligraphy on the bottles herself! The bridal party had a super fun Grand Entrance. Every couple had a little skit / dance move planned. Many of these skits required the chuggin of a beer. Dinner was amazing and so was the staff at Humphreys.
At the end of the evening, when the music was off, there was still around 100 guests who remained chatting and catching up with fellow friends and family. This was more people that I had ever seen at the end of the event. I think it’s because of the wonderful families of the bride & groom. People were genuinely happy to see each other and spend time with one another!
So thankful for this experience working with Pam, Brittany, Ryan, and Darla from Humphreys!
